Let's Flourish Together!

Building a Flourishing Family. What Works?

Ever wondered what makes a family really happy? Some say it's the dad leading the way, while mom supports. Others think it's the kids who bring joy. And then there's the help from grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends. Let's talk about it together!

Traditional Roles:

Some families stick to old-fashioned roles, where dad makes the big decisions and mom takes care of everyone. But nowadays, families are different. Sometimes mom works too. It's all about what works best for your family.

Kids Bring Joy:

Kids are like the sunshine in a family. They laugh, play, and make everything fun. But raising kids isn't always easy. It takes patience, love, and lots of cuddles. Through the tough times, families grow closer and stronger.

Extended Family and Friends:

Family isn't just about mom, dad, and the kids. It's also about grandparents, cousins, and close friends. They give advice, lend a hand, and make life sweeter. Having people who care makes tough times easier to handle.

Do you know that God Blesses Your Family Through You? Let's read through a message titled "𝗣π—₯π—˜π—¦π—˜π—₯π—©π—˜ 𝗬𝗒𝗨π—₯ π—™π—”π— π—œπ—Ÿπ—¬ 𝗕𝗬 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗒π—₯ 𝗖𝗛π—₯π—œπ—¦ π—’π—¬π—”π—žπ—›π—œπ—Ÿπ—’π— π—˜ 𝗗𝗦𝗖. 𝗗𝗦𝗖. 𝗗𝗗.

The opening scripture was taken from Genesis 45:4-7 (CEV)

…I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt. Don’t worry or blame yourselves for what you did. God is the one who sent me ahead of you to save lives. There has already been a famine for two years, and for five more years no one will plow fields or harvest grain. But God sent me on ahead of you to keep your families alive and to save you in this wonderful way.

Then Pastor Chris explains; Every human person belongs to a biological family. As an individual, you have a responsibility towards your own family, and you must understand that no matter the kind of family you hail from, it isn’t a mistake that you were born there. Your birth was divinely orchestrated by God.

If that’s the case, then your job is to turn the situation around in your family. As a child of God, you have the power to change hopeless situations. It makes no difference that your family is poverty-stricken; or that family members are prone to some terminal disease; or that disharmony is the order of the day; you have the power as a Christian to put a stop to all these.

Stand your ground and see to it that poverty, death, or rancour doesn’t continue in your family. Make up your mind to be highly successful and prosperous, so you can empower others. You’re a light to your family, because Christ lives in you. Therefore, take His message of life to them and watch their lives transform.

Genesis 12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn"

Therefore, make being a change agent in your family your top priority. During one of our Sunday services, my chapter pastor once asked us, "Who is praying for you?" We were all unsure how to respond until he said, "Don't assume someone in your family is praying for you. Don't you think they're also expecting you to pray for them?" So, take it upon yourself to ensure that through your prayers, words, love, and dedication, your family flourishes. Look past anyone's errors and ensure that love reigns in your home, among your siblings, in-laws, and those close to you. Be the light in your world.

Make these confessions:

'Thank you Father, for making me a shining light to my families, and indeed to my world. As I dispense the message of truth and life to them, their lives are being transformed from glory to glory. There’s love, peace, divine health, and prosperity in my family, in Jesus’ name (Amen)

Conclusion:

Every family is different, but the only recipe for happiness that applies to all is the word of God. By working and praying together, interceding for others, fellowship with one another (sharing God's word, taking time to worship in songs and hymns), and showing love and support, any family can thrive.
