You’re Already Winning (But No One Told You Why)

1. Introduction: The "Someday" Trap

Most people live in a state of perpetual anticipation, waiting for a "breakthrough" or a future reward that always seems just out of reach. We treat spiritual progress as a horizon—something we move toward but never actually touch. This "someday" trap suggests that if we pray long enough, suffer enough, or wait long enough, we will eventually attain a state of victory.

However, a closer look at the source of spiritual reality reveals that the biggest obstacle to your progress is not a lack of effort, but a lack of realization. The most transformative truths are not about what you are going to get, but about what you have already attained. You aren't waiting for a victory; you are operating from a finished state of triumph. The "breakthrough" isn't a future event; it is a present-tense reality that requires a shift from hope to acknowledgment.

2. The Kingdom is a Current Address, Not a Future Destination

Many religious traditions frame the Kingdom of God as a celestial retirement plan—a place you go to after this life is over. The reality, however, is that the Kingdom is a present-tense environment. When an individual is "born again," they are not put on a waiting list for citizenship; they are immediately inducted as full citizens with "special rights and blessings."

Being in the Kingdom means you belong to a specific jurisdiction where peace, joy, and love are the governing rules. It is not "far away"—it is within you. This shift from "waiting to enter" to "already being in" fundamentally alters your daily confidence. When you realize the Kingdom is your current address, your "talk" changes. You no longer speak as a stranger or a beggar, but with the authority of a resident.

"The Bible says that God has delivered us from darkness and brought us into the Kingdom of His dear Son (Colossians 1:13)."

This translation is a completed legal act. You have been moved from one jurisdiction to another, and your current status is that of a full-fledged citizen with all the attendant benefits of the realm.

3. Deliverance is a Finished State, Not an Ongoing Process

There is a common misconception that spiritual growth is a series of "deliverance sessions" where layers of old bondages are slowly peeled away. The "Gospel of Deliverance" teaches something far more radical: the moment you receive Christ, His lordship breaks the dominion of Satan completely and permanently.

From a technical perspective, your seat of power is defined in Ephesians 1:21. You are not just "safe"; you are seated with Christ "far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named." You are superior to the entire hierarchy of darkness. Many Christians remain in a cycle of perceived "bondage" not because the work of Christ was incomplete, but because of ignorance. The feeling of oppression remains only where the knowledge of the new creation is absent.

According to 2 Corinthians 5:17, you are a "new creature." The old lineage, including any so-called "generational bondage," has ceased to exist. You don't need to seek deliverance from a foe that is already under your feet; you simply need to upgrade your knowledge to match your new legal standing.

4. The "Electricity" Principle: Why Power Requires Acknowledgment

To understand how spiritual power functions, consider the technical analogy of electrical wiring in a home. The wires are already carrying the current, but the room remains dark until the switch is flipped. The power is present and dormant, awaiting activation.

In the spiritual life, the "switch" is the active acknowledgment and declaration of the life of God within you. Many people fail to experience this power because they mistake powerlessness for humility. They say, "I have no power; only Jesus has power." While this sounds pious, it is factually incorrect. Denying the power God has invested in you keeps the "lights off." Like the Prophet Micah, the strategist’s model for talk is: "But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD" (Micah 3:8). This isn't arrogance; it's a prerequisite for spiritual functionality.

"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19)."

Power is activated through your daily language. By acknowledging that you have eternal life and divine strength, you neutralize the "germs" of defeat before they can take root.

5. Lifting Hands is a Strategic Maneuver, Not Just a Gesture

If "acknowledgment" is the internal switch for power, then lifting hands is the external strategic maneuver that keeps the flow of power consistent during battle. In many settings, this is seen as a mere religious tradition, but it was actually a "discovery" of something that worked—an insight that predates and transcends the requirements of the Law.

Think of Moses during the battle against Amalek. His physical posture dictated the spiritual flow of the conflict. As long as his hands were lifted, Israel prevailed; when they were lowered, the enemy gained ground. This was an "affirmation of triumph" that enacted victory in the realm of the Spirit. When you lift your hands in prayer or worship, you are not just making a gesture; you are signaling your dominion and opening your spirit to divine inspiration. It is a strategic "hack" to ensure you walk in strength and endless triumph, regardless of the challenges you face.

6. You Share a Bloodline, Not Just a Title

There is a significant distinction between being a "servant" and being a "child." In a royal family, servants and angels may live in the palace, but they do not share the King’s bloodline. They are residents, but they are not heirs. They lack the organic and existential attributes of deity.

As a believer, your relationship with divinity is far deeper than "fellowship" or "being friends with God." It is an organic oneness. According to 2 Peter 1:3-4, you have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness and have become a "partaker of the divine nature." You share the same Holy Spirit that dwelt in Jesus. This makes you a "joint-heir" with Christ (Romans 8:17). This oneness is the single most significant reality of Christianity. You aren't just a follower of a deity; you share the life, glory, and nature of the Father.

7. The Purpose of the Fire: Presence Over Exemption

A common point of frustration for many is the arrival of adversity. There is a false assumption that spiritual maturity should exempt one from "the fire." However, the promise of God is never the absence of challenges, but His guaranteed presence within them.

Consider Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. They were not kept from the furnace; they were protected and accompanied within it. The "fire" in your life is not meant to consume you; it is the environment where the fourth man—the divine presence—becomes visible. This is why it is logical to "count it all joy" when facing diverse tests. When you realize that any affliction is "light" and temporary compared to the "far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory" it produces, your perspective shifts from fear to strategic endurance.

"When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee (Isaiah 43:2)."

8. Conclusion: The Protagonist’s Mandate

The shift from a passive observer to an active participant is the ultimate goal of understanding these truths. You are not a spectator in a cosmic drama; you are a "protagonist." In the strategic sense, being a protagonist means you are the one who advances the plot.

Think of the Kingdom as a relay race: Andrew passed the "baton" of the Good News to Peter, and Philip passed it to Nathanael. Now, the baton is in your hands. Because the Kingdom is already yours, and the power is already wired into your spirit, your role has changed from a person looking for help to a person sent to change lives. You are a unique member of the Body of Christ, with a specific role in building the Church and advancing the Kingdom.

Knowing that you are currently seated in a place of total authority, how will you live differently tomorrow? If the victory is already won, the only thing left to do is to run your portion of the race with the confidence of one who has already reached the finish line.

By incorporating these principles, you can cultivate a home that nurtures growth, happiness, and spiritual fulfillment. Remember, the change starts with you.
